The two love birds could be seen all over one another, with their public display of affection, especially in one of Davido's songs, ‘Assurance’. Though, during one of his interviews, he said the video brewed hatred towards Chioma and her family. Probably some low-key admirers of Davido and this did not stop him from featuring her in another of his music video, '1 Milli'.
It was said that they got engaged in late 2019, after the two families were introduced to themselves, earlier. With this engagement, it can be said that Davido had completed 70% of his rite as Chioma's husband. While we all were looking forward to a 'CHIDO' themed wedding in 2020, Alas! Corona Virus happened. The two share a son, Ifeanyi, and rumour has it that ChefChioma is pregnant with the second child.
Of lately, Davido has been seen making some travels around Africa and America, judging from his Instagram page. A video trended online, in the early hours of Saturday, spotting him coming out of a club, with another lady, other than Chioma. Though in late 2020, news has it that there was a split between the two love birds, no party confirmed it. Davidohad to stay off social media for some time, reasons attached to their breakup rumour.
This other woman was reported to be Mya Yafai, an American model, who was said to have spent the December holiday in Nigeria and also rumoured to have been in Ghana with Davido. Connecting the dots, we cannot entirely debunk nor prove the rumours of a break-up between Chioma and Davido. This video caused an uproar on social media, where fans aired their personal opinion on the issue.
Will we say that Davido's assurance was all but a sham to Chioma, what then will happen to Chioma?
In the heat of their relationship, Chioma got endorsement deals and was able to set up a business for herself, which gave her the name ChefChioma. Even if there is a breakup, we can at least say Chioma didn't leave empty-handed, especially since she had to drop out from Babcock University because of their relationship.
