20 persons including pregnant woman burnt to death while scooping fuel from a tanker which fell

About 20 persons have been confirmed dead in a terrible tanker incident which occurred recently.
These people were burnt to death while scooping fuel from a tanker that fell in Ondo state.
A pregnant woman and some children were among those who had gone to scoop fuel from the tanker after it fell.
This incident happened in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area in Ondo State on Sunday.
This tanker was loaded with petrol when it fuel and some residents seeing how petrol is now over N600 per litre decided to take the opportunity to scoop petrol from the tanker.
The driver of the tanker had lost control of the vehicle when it got into that accident. This was along the Benin–Ore-Sagamu Expressway in Ore.
The fire was caused by a spark which was caused by one of these fuel scoopers who was holding a phone.
This led to a huge fire and those scooping fuel were burnt to death.
Some witnesses revealed that they had been inside a church when the tanker fell and many ran out to also scoop fuel. They revealed that the pastor warned them not to but they did and sadly were burnt too
Some witnesses also revealed that a pregnant woman and 3 children were among those who were and were killed too.
She brought a sum of N100,000 to the scene to buy fuel. They were all burnt beyond recognition.
They revealed that rain was also falling when this happened.
The state Police Public Relations Officer who is Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami has confirmed the incident. She revealed that an investigation has begun into this case
