What is NDLEA?
NDLEA means National Drug Law Enforcement agency. It is a federal law enforcement agency located in Nigeria. The NDLEA was founded on the 29th of December 1989 by the Decree No 48. The purpose of the NDLEA is to curb drug related crimes in the country. The agency was formed to address and handle the rising use of illegal drugs in Nigeria. The sales and use of illicit drugs have been rising and the NDLEA was designed to tackle this problem. They have a goal to eradicate the use of hard drugs and curb substance abuse in the country. The current executive chairman of the NDLEA is Gen. Buba Mohammed Marwa (retd).

Is NDLEA currently recruiting.
NDLEA is not recruiting now. They recently carried out their recruitment exercise earlier this year, 2023. The next recruitment will be in 2024. As of July 2023, the list of successful candidates was released for the positions of Narcotic officers and Narcotic assistant cadre. The list they released are for the successful candidates who applied for the 2023/2024 recruitment. They had successfully completed the recruitment exercise and have also done their passing out parade. They filles out in their passing out parade in October 2023 and this was after their training has come to an end.
Those who were listed as the successful candidates have reported to the academy for training. They were divided into groups for the training and this grouping was carried out between the 27th of May and the 18th of August. These candidates were also given further instructions to be carried out as they progress.

- Click apply,
- Create an account and login,
- Fill in your details,
- Upload all required documents,
- Click on submit.

- Click on apply
- Select the position or cadre you want to apply for
- Fill in all required information
- Click submit
After application, the candidates are expected to come for screening. They will be instructed to come with certain documents for the screening process and these documents include:
- The original copy of their credentials like their birth certificate, academic certificate, state of origin and NYSC.
- Copies of a filled guarantor’s form.
- 2 coloured Candidate passport photographs. The passport must be a recent one.
- National identification card.
- A pair of white round neck vest, navy blue shorts, white socks, and a pair of canvasses.
- Certificate of medical fitness from a government hospital.
