Bandits attack Zamfara,l community, abduct over 30 girls
Some armed Bandits attacked some communities over the weekend in Zamfara State.
These communities are inMaradun Local Government Area in Zamfara.
They killed so many people and went ahead to about over 30 girls from the community.
One of the girls who had managed to escape from these bandits had returned to the community with only a headscarf on herself.
These armed men attacked on Saturday afternoon. They visited Sakkida and Jambako community. They killed over 20 people and injured many others.
Some villagers who survived the attack revealed that they had woken up and were going about their day when suddenly they heard of an attack at the next village which is Sakkida.
The vigilante had sought the help and they mobilized themselves to help. They didn't know the bandits had set an ambush for them and as soon as they reached the spot, they shot at them and killed 22 people.
Some of the girls who had been abducted had gone to pick firewood at a bush when they struck.
The governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal has said such action was unprovoked aggression against the innocents and they won't stand by and watch this happen.
They have given orders to security personnel to increase the security in the affected communities so as to prevent further incidents.
