BREAKING: Owner of Abuja Chinese Supermarket has fled

The owner of the Chinese Supermarket in Abuja has reportedly fled the premises after officials of the Federal Competition & Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) busted the supermarket. Ongoing reports show that FCCPC has surrounded the supermarket and it has now been shut down. This was after some Abuja residents raised alarm after they were banned from shopping at the mall.

They complained bitterly about how the supermarket restricted sales to just Chinese Nationals and banned Nigerians from shopping at the mall. This sort of discrimination is frowned upon in Nigeria, as citizens feel they shouldn't be banned from shopping at their places of choice.

Investigation is still ongoing to shed more light on why Nigerians were banned from shopping at the mall.
