The Lagos State government has announced its plans to relocate the popular Computer Village situated in the heart of Ikeja to Katangwa market in Abule-Egba, Lagos.

Katangwa market is a large market mainly for the buying and selling of second-hand or fairly used clothing. It is situated in Super, Abule-Egba, Lagos. Computer Village is a market situated in Ikeja, Lagos mainly for the sales of mobile phones and electronic gadgets.

The government revealed its plans to reorganize certain markets in Lagos. This plan, however, has been in the works since 2023 and the process will begin fully in April. The government said they are also working on relocating roadside sellers in Ikeja to a new market to ease the free flow of traffic on the roads.

The government said facilities such as schools, playgrounds, mosques, churches, accommodation, and storage rooms will be put into place to renovate and conserve for a better Lagos.
