Doctor arrested for revealing patient’s information online


A medical doctor who has been identified as Kadev Kenneth Kelvin, has been arrested for revealing a patient's information online.

He has been detained at the federal correctional facility in Makurdi on allegations of cyber stalking.
A Magistrate Court sitting in Makurdi in Benue State remanded him.

This man reportedly shared a post on Facebook on the 12th of March 2023.

He revealed that he had stitched the lacerated anus of the Benue State publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party who is Bemgba Iortyom.

He performed this on Bemgba Iortyom after he was sodomized in Abuja prison in 2017

The commissioner of police received the petition which was written by D.K Iorhemba and Co as Barrister and Solicitors and this was on behalf of Bemgba Iortyom.

The petition stated that one Kadev Kenneth Kelvin who is a medical doctor. The said doctor works at Kadev Health Systems Services located at No.9 opposite Holy Covenant, Otukpo Road in Makurdi, Benue State.

The petition or report also states that the post the doctor shared has made damaging comments about Bemgba.

This was on the 12th of March around 11pm while he was speaking with a man identified as Gabriel Terungwa Shange.

He mentioned how Bemgba blocked him after finding out he was the one who stitched him.

The police made further investigation and arrested him. The post he also made on Facebook was taken in screenshot as evidence.

The man has also confessed to the offence he committed.

Inspector S.O Itodo, who is the police prosecutor, has informed the court that investigation into this case was still ongoing.

He has made a request to the court for another date so as to give time to prove the case.
