Following his arraignment in court on Wednesday, the EFCC grants Cubana Chiefpriest N10M bail as he pleads not guilty.
The EFCC found him guilty of spraying and abusing the Naira at events on several occasions. This is punishable under the law under the Central Bank Act of 2007. Cubana Chiefpriest was summoned to court on Wednesday, 17th April at the Federal High Court in Lagos.
The prosecution counsel charged Cubana Chiefpriest for abuse of the Naira on three counts. According to the EFCC, the socialite sprayed bundles of cash for two hours non-stop at an event on 13th February 2024. He repeated the same at two other events in 2020 and on January 2024.
