Lagosians protest over economic hardship at Ojuelegba bridge
Lagosians came out in numbers to protest against the economic hardship in the country. They assembled under the Ojuelegba bridge, blocking the free flow of traffic for commuters. The protesters carried cardboard which had inscriptions on them, as they protested. The police were immediately alerted to oversee the protest and ensure that nothing was out of place.
Protesting is now becoming the order of the day as many states in Nigeria have started complaining about the hardship. Just when it seemed the protest was about to come to an end, Lagosians joined in claiming that the economy was no longer sustainable for citizens. Reactions are coming in from different angles regarding this protest as some claimed that those who are protesting were the same people who voted President Tinubu into power.
