Man beats wife to death during argument
A man has been arrested for beating his wife to death recently in Plateau State.
This man has been identified as Samoson and some residents of that area Revealed Revealed he was fond of beating his wife. They shared that it wasn't the first time this man would beat his wife.
However this beating has led to the death of this woman. This woman has also been identified and her name is Janet.
The couple lives in Furaka, Jos North local government area in Plateau State.
The neighbours revealed that the couple has quarrels and this would result in the man beating her as they would hear her shouting for help many times.
This incident occurred on the 4th and 5th of July, 2023. A neighbour revealed that the couple have 2 children together and the younger sibling was just 1 year old.
He revealed that it was a really sad incident. He also shared that the victim was the stable one from her own family because he was aware that her siblings and mother usually had a challenge or the other.
He revealed that any time the husband beats this lady, she would shout for help and people would come to her rescue. He shared that sometimes the beating would result in the woman fainting but this time, she died sadly.
He shared that the landlord had given given a notice at some point to leave the house but the lady begged him to let them stay.
The neighbour revealed that he can't say exactly what happened in the house when the woman died but he heard that the husband had come home drunk very late in the night on the 4th of July.
The couple had a quarrel that night for some reason and it ended there the following morning which was July 5, the lady took her child to school.
She then came back home to prepare for work. He says he discovered she asked the husband for money for transportation but he didn't give her.
The couple then got into another argument and this man locked the door and began to beat her.
She shouted for help but no one could help because the door was locked. He revealed that they don't know what led to the death but they weren't hearing her shouts again at some point and assumed she had fainted again.
The husband realized she wasn't moving and then opened the door and it was there the neighbours were able to help and discovered she was dead.
They began beating this man and others called the police who arrested him. The man has been taken to the Nasarawa Gwong Police Station.
The family of this man has been making efforts to have him released but they haven't done so.
