A video of House of Representatives member, Akin Rotimi tearing up during a plenary session after hearing the news of the two traditional rulers killed by herdsmen has been trending online.
Recall that three traditional rulers, Onimojo of Imojo Ekiti in Oye LGA, Alara of Ara in Ikole LGA, and Elesun of Esun Ekiti in Ajoni LGA of Ekiti State, were attacked by herdsmen yesterday on their way returning from a meeting.
The Alara of Ara made a narrow escape but the other two monarchs were shot dead. There bodies were dumped in a nearby bush by the herdsmen and their belongings were also carted away.
The lawmaker, Akin Rotimi, was unable to complete the statement he was reading as he was overwhelmed by emotions which resulted into tears.
