The Niger State Government has vowed to take disciplinary actions against the teacher and principal of one Kassim primary school over the debate organized between their pupils. The Government tagged the usage of words as vulgar and disrespectful to the Nigerian leaders and promised to sanction those who authorized the debate.

Recall that sometime last week, a pupil whose name is Abdulkabir Abdulkadir trended over the debate his school organized whose topics were related to Voting practices in Nigeria. He opposed the idea of compulsory voting in Nigeria, claiming that the citizen's votes have lost significance due to the practices of corrupt leaders.

Reacting, Jibrin Usman-Kodo, who is the acting Niger State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education said in a statement“The ministry observed with dismay the disturbing content of the video, where it was evident that the student had been coached to use violence and vulgar language in his presentation

The Commissioner has vowed to investigate the incident further and take appropriate disciplinary action against those responsible for coaching the student to use such language” the statement added.
