Recall that a naval, Mr. Akingbohunmi, was recently killed in Idoani, Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Yesterday, June 28, the Ondo State police command confirmed the arrest of the suspects who killed the naval officer. The deceased was attacked by six hoodlums after an argument ensued between him and a motorcyclist.
Three suspects have been arrested by the state police successfully, thanks to the cooperation of the community leaders. A search party was organized to track each of the suspects until they were arrested.
That happened after the community leaders promised the people at the naval school that the late Akingbohunmi was attached and that they will find the suspects within 24 hours.
It was reported that one of the suspects was arrested at his home while one other was arrested while in was on motion, in an attempt to flee to town.
Funmilayo Odunlami, Ondo state PPRO, confirmed this in a statement and said that the "suspects will be transferred to the state headquarters soon."
Funmilayo also said that besides the suspects that were arrested, three others are currently being trailed.
