The Lagos State Police Command have arrested 2 KFC staff over the death of their colleague. The victim had only begun working in that eatery for 2 months. This incident happened 2 months after she was employed.

These two staff of the popular KFC restaurant have been arrested. They work at the eatery located in Festac Town, Amuwo Odofin area in Lagos State.

A colleague of theirs who was just 20 years old died last week Friday and ever since, investigations into this death have commenced. Just recently, the police then rested these two suspects due to the death of the victim.

The victim has been identified as Anita Chiwendu. Her family have gone to the restaurant to demand for the corpse of the young lady who passed this was on Wednesday and this was days after they reported the lady dead.

The employees of the KFC restaurant had mentioned that the victim, Anita, slumped while she was spreading her clothes on the line.

Her family haven't taken that explanation as the cause of her death. They have demanded to see her body.

They staged a protest over this so they can see the body. A relative revealed that this young lady was the only child of her parents.

He revealed that they told the parents about her death a day after her death last week and ever since, they haven't been allowed to see the body. The family doesn't even know where the corpse is.

It had been the police who informed the parents of the detached about the tragedy. They called her mother to the station and told her.
The company had told the police who then informed the parents.

Last week Sunday, on the 10th of July which was 2 days after the incident, the family of the deceased went to the station and requested to see the body. They told them the body was at the Marina morgue.

They eventually told them that the body was at Ikorodu morgue and were directing them back and forth. They also went to the Task force in Oshodi and there they told the family that driver that had the means of identification of the corpse was not around.

The family is now agitated with this running around they are doing to see the corpse. This has now led to them being suspicious about the cause of their daughter's death.

They feel they haven't been told the truth about her death. They have made many efforts to speak with management of the KFC eatery but all efforts have failed

It was another staff member who raved that the management of the eatery is being careful to not say anything yet because of the nature of the incident.

This staff then said the deceased had suddenly screamed and slumped while she had been hanging her clothes on the line.

He says they immediately rushed her to 2 hospitals and she was declared dead when they got to the 2nd hospital.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer who is SP Benjamin Hudenyi has confirmed the arrest of these two suspects of the eatery.
He revealed that 2 staff members have been arrested and are still in police custody.

He revealed that the case had been reported at the Festac Division. He says they then transferred the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba.

He also shared that an investigating team has paid a visit to the KFC eatery on Thursday so they can check the Close Circuit Television (CCTV) to aid their investigation.
