Uche Igwe, a 40-year-old broadcaster accused of sharing video of a 10-year-old Chrisland School student engaging in sexual intercourse on Twitter, appeared in the Yaba Chief Magistrates' Court in Lagos State on Monday.

Igwe, who lives at 14 Ogundare Street in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State, is charged with cyberstalking and breach of peace on two counts. He, on the other hand, has denied the charge.

The prosecutor with the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, informed the court that the defendant committed the crimes on April 18 using the Twitter application.

He said that the defendant transmitted a video of a 10-year-old girl pupil in Dubai engaging in sexual intercourse with another student on purpose.

According to Nwabuisi, the defendant shared the video on the internet without the authorization of the student's parents or the school, using his own Twitter name, @uchedark.

The claimed crimes are in violation of Sections 24 (1) (a) (b) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition and Prevention) Act of 2015, as well as Section 168 (d) of the Lagos State Criminal Law of 2015.

According to the news, cyberstalking is punishable by ten years in prison under Section 24 (1) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition and Prevention) Act of 2015.Under Section 168 (d) of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015. The Chief Magistrate Mrs Adeola Adedayo, granted the defendant bail in the amount of N10 million with three sureties in the same amount.
