President Tinubu sympathizes with victims of Kwara boat accident
The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu has sympathized with the victims of the Boat accident in Kwara state which happened recently.
He expressed his sadness over the incident which claimed many lives. Over a 100 people have been on the boat which capsized in Kwara.
These 100 people were wedding guests who had gone to Egbu village, in Patigi Local Government Area in Kwara state and had been on their way back when the unfortunate incident happened and claimed their lives.
President Tinubu, released a statement by the director of information, state House, Abiodun Oladunjoye.
He said he is deeply saddened by the news of this incident that claimed this many lives in Kwara. He said the fact that these people were wedding guests made the incident more painful.
He sent his condolences to the families and friends of the victims in the accident. He also sympathized with the Kwara government and people of Kwara State.
He urged the Kwara State Government and relevant federal agencies to come together and work on discovering the cause of such an accident.
He said there should be assistance provided to those who survived as well as the families of the victims.
