Stop giving beggars small money, Muslim cleric tells Nigerians
A Muslim cleric identified as AlfaChemistry has urged Nigerians to stop giving beggars small amounts of money whenever they intend to give out. He said that it is unfair to give out amounts like N10, N20, N100, or N200 to beggars because there is literally nothing they would get for that amount. According to him, giving should come from the soul and must be a reasonable amount of money that would be useful for those we are gifting. It shouldn't be restricted to giving out dirty money that we no longer need.
He added, "Stop giving beggers dirty money. Like I don't understand. Why is it that when it is time to give beggars money, it is N10 you'll be able to pull out from your pocket? It is N50, it is N100 or one dirty money you've kept so long in your pocket or your wallet. Like what's our mindset most especially Nigerian? I don't understand our mindset. When you give beggars money, you give them dirty money. You have N1 million in your account, and you are giving beggers N10, N50. You have N100,000 in your account you cannot give out N1,000. Must you give beggers small money?"
