Fuji maestro, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, has revealed the reason why he left his football career to pursue music.

In an interview with Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, Pasuma disclosed that he was once a footballer before venturing into music. His passion for football could have become a career but unfortunately, he didn't make it to the players list for the 1985 FIFA U-16 World Championship in China. The rejection was a huge turning point for him because he was also inspired by his role model, King Wasiu Ayinde's album which was released at the same time.

Pasuma said he is grateful for how far he has come in his musical career because most of his friends who chose football as a career are now retired or can no longer play due to one injury or another.
