1 day old baby rescued from waste bin in Port Harcourt
A newborn baby 2as found and rescued from a waste bin in Port Harcourt. This baby has been identified as a girl.
She was dumped in the bin with the placenta. They rescued this baby early this morning, Friday.
Tlut was some vigilantes who found her and rescued her.
The vigilantes were led by Godstime Ihunwo who is the Chief Security Officer in Nkpolu Oroworukwo Community.
Ihumwo revealed that it was around 3am when they were on patrol that they discovered the baby wrapped in a cloth with the placenta.
They took the baby for immediate medical attention and the nurse inspected the baby.
He then called on Prince Wiro who is a Human Rights Activist and they went to the police station in Nkpolu to make a formal entry.
Prince Wiro has advised young women who give birth to babies that they don't want to seek help from government agencies instead of throwing the baby away.
