Do you remember the story of a 13-year-old boy whose intestine went missing after receiving treatment at a private hospital known as Obitoks Medical Centre? Unfortunately, the young champ lost his life on the 19th of September. The family spokesperson revealed that the late Akin Akinbola-Bright was rushed into the intensive care unit of the Lagos State Teaching Hospital(LASUTH) after he developed some complications. That was where he was pronounced dead.
Recall that the mother of the deceased had called for help from Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu which he obliged. Sanwo-Olu visited the hospital and assured the mother that the deceased would be taken care of.
Also, the Lagos State House of Assembly implored Sanwo-Olu to instruct the Ministry of Health to release the necessary funds for the overseas treatment of the deceased.
Unfortunately, Akinbola-Bright lost his life before he could be transferred overseas for proper treatment.
