14 medical students involved in boat mishap in calabar
About 14 people who are medical students have been involved in a boat accident in calabar recently.
They had gone for a boat cruise and the boat capsized.
11 students were rescued but 3 were declared missing from this incident.
The governor of Cross River State has ordered an investigation into this incident which happened just a few days ago.
The onlookers who were residents of that area quickly worked towards rescuing the students. The Nigerian Navy was also there to rescue these students and the governor commended them for their effort.
Rescue agencies and some resident software the village have begun a search to look for these missing students.
The boat incident had happened at the Marina Resort in calabar. The governor expressed his sadness over this incident which happened.
He mentioned that the boat had been overcrowded and due to this, not everyone had a life jacket on.
He expressed happiness over the survivors who had been rescued. He revealed that all of them except one had been discharged from the hospital already.
