The school bus
A young boy who is 14 years old stole a school bus recently.
The name of this teenage boy had been withheld. The boy had stole the bus from a school named Kipp College Prep in an Antioch neighborhood.
He took the bus on a ride in Nashville on Saturday evening. This was around 4pm.
He had nearly run over a person at a gas station when he also crashed into a fuel pump.
It was the Metro Nashville Police Department who mentioned this.
Reports didn't mention when the police had begun to chase the boy but they had chased him in order to stop him.
Eventually after he had hit the diesel pump, hit another vehicle and almost ran over an individual, the police were able to slow down the vehicle. The police used a spike strip to slow the bus down after chains for a long time at a speed of about 65mph.
They had to break into the bus to get to him. They broke the windows and had to tase this boy.
It's still unclear how the boy got access to the keys of the bus.
He was taken into custody immediately and has been booked into juvenile detention.
The police revealed that when this boy saw the spike strip on the road he showed down and made attempts to turn around.
He wasn't fast enough in turning the bus around and the police was then able to break into the bus.
They have charged the boy with vehicle theft, reckless driving, evading arrest, driving without a license and aggravated assault.
