Several stars names were recognized by their colleagues globally, and truly they would have been pleased to have seen their peers vote for them to make the World XI.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid's Thibaut Courtois is the goalkeeper selected for the FIFA FIFPRO Men's World 11, having contributed outstandingly to his team from December 19, 2022, to August 20, 2023.

The team was predominantly filled by Manchester City players, with 6 players from the English club making the World 11.

On the defensive side of things, John Stones, Kyle Walker, and Ruben Dias were selected, having had a domineering season with Manchester City.

Stones, Walker, and Dias all played a pivotal role in the Cityzens winning an unprecedented treble - Premier League, FA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League title.

Bernardo Silva, Jude Bellingham, and Kevin De Bruyne were the midfielders selected and these players also had an impressive 2023.

For Bellingham, he had an outstanding year for Borussia Dortmund before joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2023.

The Englishman was sublime in midfield for both clubs, helping Borussia Dortmund to almost secure the German Bundesliga title.

In Spain with Carlo Ancelotti's side, Jude Bellingham has been fantastic since his arrival, scoring 17 goals and 6 assists in 24 appearances.

Let's drive over to the forwards where another Manchester City player is present, while one name also shockingly makes an appearance on the list.

Erling Haaland made the XI, having had a monstrous year with the Cityzens, ending the year with 52 goals and helping Pep Guardiola's side get their hands on the treble - Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League.

However, Lionel Messi, whose name will always generate massive buzz also made the World 11, with him eventually being named FIFA The Best Men's Player of the Year for 2023.

FIFA bluntly expressed that this shortlist includes players who were magnificent from December 19, 2022, to August 20, 2023.

Messi didn't have a standout year in comparison with some other attacking names, notably; Harry Kane, but he ultimately made the World 11, having represented Paris Saint Germain and Inter Miami in the period reviewed.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi assisted current club Inter Miami to win the Leagues Cup in August 2023, and he was amazing throughout the competition, scoring 10 goals and providing 1 assist in 7 appearances.
