After Everton, it is now Nottingham Forest's turn to step into the dock for a hearing into their alleged beaches of Premier League financial regulations.

Everton nearly fought the Premier League to a standstill at the Appeal Board but they still suffered point deductions.

After being charged for alleged financial breaches, the Toffees were slammed with a 10-point deduction by the Independent Commission. However, they were able to recoup four of the 10 points after appealing the decision.

Nottingham Forest are also set for a hearing into their charges by the Independent Commission. The Tricky Trees were charged by the Premier League for recording losses exceeding the £105 benchmark set by the Premier League up to the 2022/23 season.

If found guilty, they could be slammed with a similar point deduction as Everton's. However, there are projections the Tricky Trees may escaped a heavy penalty.

Early this season, they were able to seal a deal that change their financial figures by selling Brennan Johnson to Tottenham Hotspur for £45m.

According to BBC, the date for a hearing into the case has been scheduled for Friday, March 7, 2024 while a decision will taken in April 2024.

Recent clampdown on Everton and Nottingham Forest have raised eyebrows as experts query the integrity of the Premier League in handling financial breaches as they are yet to hear Manchester City's 115 charges.
