A Nigerian woman has sparked reactions online after saying a man is supposed to bear his wife's surname when they get married.
In a video making the rounds online, the lady said the Bible instructs the man to leave his parents and cleave to his wife. She explained that leaving his parents includes renouncing their name and adopting his wife's own.
She continued by saying a woman can take her husband's last name but getting married shouldn't erase her identity.
