AbdulRazaq declared winner in Kwara elections

Governor AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman has been declared winner of the Kwara state governorship elections. He won re-election for a sound term as the governor of Kwara State.

The elections were held on the 18th of March, 2023 and Governor Abdulrazaq from the All Progressives Congress (APC) won.

Recall just a few ago, kwara women took to the streets to campaign for his re-election.

He had a total of 273,424 votes in the election. His closest rival who was from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Yaman Abdullahi had a total of 155,490 votes.

Professor Isaac Itodo, the Vice-Chancellor, University of Agriculture, Makurdi, was the one who declared AbdulRazaq as the winner of the kwara elections during the announcement at the Independent National Electoral Commission’s office in Ilorin just yesterday, Sunday.

Governor AbdulRazaq won in all 16 local government areas in kwara state.

The governor will serve a second term of four years in office as governor of kwara state.
