Abia Police arrests 2 suspected kidnappers and rescue 3 kidnapped victims in Abia state

Officers of the Abia state police command have arrested 2 suspected kidnappers. These kidnappers have been identified as Abubakar Tukur and Ibrahim Sandari and are both males.

The police were also able to rescue 3 kidnapped victims who have also been identified as, Ekene Ike, Azubuike Okorie, and Oluebube Nwafor. They were rescued at one of the hideouts of these kidnappers which is located in Umunneochi council area.

The police had then raided the bush im Lekwesi community after getting intelligence about the kindpapers and that was when they arrested the suspects.

It was the Abia state Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), SP Maureen Chinaka, who confirmed this incident.
He revealed that these two suspects which they arrested were arrested in connection with the kidnapping of these victims.

It was both the Divisional Police Officer Isuochi and some operatives of Abia State Police Command who went for this operation after they received reliable information.

Further investigation will be carried out before these suspects are arraigned in court.
