Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) lifts Jerry Williams' suspension
The Actors Guild of Nigeria, (AGN) has lifted Jerry Williams' suspension. Recall they had given an indefinite suspension on Jerry Williams due drug abuse not too long ago.
Jerry Williams is a Nollywood actor and he had gotten involved in drug abuse when the Actors Guild suspended him indefinitely.
Jerry Williams was suspended on the 28th of June, 2023 and it was the leadership of this Guild who gave the suspension.
It was the National President of AGN, who is Mr Emeka Rollas, who revealed why Jerry was suspended. He shared that the reason behind his suspension was because he was a risk to himself and other actors around him.
They then took the decision to suspend him so as to prevent him from endangering the lives of other actors while on set.
Recall that after he was suspended, the actor was taken to a rehab facility to help with his drug addiction.
Now, the leadership of the AGN has lifted his suspension. This occured yesterday, Friday.
Jerry Williams took to his Instagram page yesterday to appreciate the president of AGN, as well as his family and friends who supported them during this period.
He started by thanking God for life and then thanked the president of the Guild and thanked his family, his brother, his uncle and many others including his well wishers and fans.
He then announced that his suspension has been lifted. He says he is going back to work sound, healthy, vibrant and strong. He told everyone to expect interesting movies from him as well.
