Adesina claims Buhari’s sickness was a set back

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, has mentioned that Buhari’s sickness which lasted 8 months was a set back to the administration.

He mentioned this on Monday, April 10, 2023. This incident was in 2017.

President Muhammadu Buhari has been the president of Nigeria since 2015 and is set to leave office on the 29th of May 2023.

The President-elect Tinubu will be sworn in on that same day.

Mr Adesina said the 8 months of his sickness took time from his time in office. He mentioned this information while speaking with Channels.

During this interview, he was mentioning the accomplishments of the outgoing President of Nigeria.

Recall that in 2017, president Buhari was flown to the United Kingdom, UK, for medical treatment and this lasted for 8 months.

He mentioned that the president fell sick in January and traveled but came back in March only to travel again in April and stay till August.

He mentioned that 8 months took time but he came back better than how he had gone.
