Ado Doguwa Of Homicide Charges by Kano government
The government of Kano State has cleared Alhassan Ado Doguwa of homicide charges.
Ado Doguwa is the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives.
He was cleared of the charges of homicide and criminal conspiracy.
Recall the charges had been read against him in the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly Elections in Tudun Wada/Doguwa Federal Constituency and this was during the collation of results.
He had been arrested earlier in the year in March for alleged complicity in electoral violence that happened in Tudun Wada LGA during the elections.
It was just yesterday, Thursday, that this decision was announced. They revealed that it was based on the investigation that was conducted by the Homicide Section of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID).
It was the Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General, Musa Abdullahi Lawal, who announced this during a press briefing.
According to the report the ministry gave, there was insufficient evidence against him due to some conflicts in the statements of the witness.
There was also no forensic evidence that could link AGO Doguwa to these crimes and that was how they derived this.
He also revealed that the medical assessments turned out inconclusive.
