It was a night of drama and excitement at the Africa Cup of Nations as Egypt and Ghana played out a 2-2 draw in their Group B match on Thursday.

The game had a major twist when Egypt’s star player Mohamed Salah had to leave the field in the 45th minute due to an injury. The Liverpool forward looked in pain as he walked off the pitch, leaving his team and fans worried.

Ghana seized the opportunity and scored the opening goal just before the break. Mohammed Kudus, the Ajax midfielder, fired a powerful shot past the Egyptian goalkeeper to give his side the lead.

Egypt did not give up and fought back in the second half. Omar Marmoush, the Wolfsburg winger, equalized for the Pharaohs in the 69th minute with a clever finish from a tight angle.

The game was not over yet as Ghana restored their lead two minutes later. Kudus scored his second goal of the night with a stunning volley from outside the box that left the Egyptian keeper helpless.

Egypt showed their resilience and spirit once again and leveled the score in the 76th minute. Mostafa Mohamed, the Galatasaray striker, headed home a cross from Ahmed Hegazi to make it 2-2.

The final whistle blew and both teams had to settle for a point each. The result means that Egypt are second in Group B with two points, while Ghana are third with one point. Both teams still have a chance to qualify for the knockout stage as they face Cape Verde and Gabon respectively in their last group games on Monday.
