AGN suspends Jerry Williams due to drug abuse
The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) have suspended Nollywood actor Jerry Williams.
Jerry Williams is a 37 year old Nigerian actor.
He was suspended by the AGN due to drug abuse. He was said to be involved in illegal drugs.
It was Mr Emeka Rollas who is the National President of the guild who made this revelation.
He revealed this via a statement on Thursday. He mentioned that the AGN has been monitoring the actor since last December.
He got to know of his involvement in illegal or hard drugs and they were watching him till it escalated.
He revealed that they should have suspended him since then but they decided to give him room for minor treatment. They revealed that he had not been doing this faithfully and they then came together and took the decision.
He also said that the AGN had agreed that he was a risk to himself and other actors who may be influenced.
He also said this suspension is till he becomes clean of these hard drugs and gets a clean bill of health from a medical professional who is in this department.
