Alex Okosi appointed as new Managing director for Google
Nigerian business executive Alex Okosi has been appointed as the new Managing director for Google in Africa. Google announced his appointment as the Managing Director in Africa recently.
Alex Okosi prior to this appointment is the current Managing Director, Emerging Markets for YouTube in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). He is a media, tech and business executive. He was once Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Viacom International Media Networks Africa and BET International.
He is now Google’s MD in Africa and his role would consist of managing Google’s operations, programmes etc and leading expansion in Africa.
Alex Okosi has expressed his gratitude over his new appointment as he also took to social media to share the news of his new role. He shared a photo of himself on Instagram and captioned it expressing his appreciation. He thanked his family, mentors, supporters and friends saying this move wouldn't have been possible without them.
