The England defender came to the rescue for Liverpool as they stole a point at the death against the Premier League champions.

Erling Haaland gave City the lead in the first half after Allison Becker's goalkick blunder saw Manual Akanji latch on the ball and pick on Haaland in the Reds' penalty area.

Erling Haaland pulled a sensational effort and slot home a low shot pass Allison Becker.

Liverpool had to wait till the dire minutes to galvanize on Alexander-Arnold's moment of brilliance to level terms.

Arnold pulled off a provocative goal celebration shushing the roaring Manchester City fans who were rhythmically hailing Man City's dominance in the game.

While his goal celebration would have escaped the scrutiny of the FA, Alexander-Arnold's comment on the goal celebration may likely land him in deep trouble with the FA.

"It is good to pull off such celebration in front of the fans who were making jest of us all through the game," Arnold said in his post match press conference.

FA rules forbids players from making any provocative gestures towards the fans. This means Alexander-Arnold could be slammed with FA sanction should his goal celebration be reviewed.

However, the decision to penalize the England defender is dependent on whether the match referee Chris Kavanagh includes the incident on his match report to the FA, as per The Sun.

During the match, Kavanagh did not penalize Arnold implying the Liverpool sensation could possibly escape FA sanction. However, nothing can be established for now with all fingers crossed on FA's reaction in the next coming days.
