Alexandre Lacazette, a former Arsenal striker, has signed a three-year contract with Lyon in France.

After seeing out his contract with the English Premier League (EPL) club, which officially expires on June 30, the 31-year-old former France international became a free agent.

Lyon revealed on Thursday that the player, a product of their own development system, had been re-signed after being traded to Arsenal in 2017.

Watch some highlights from the star player:

Lacazette joined Arsenal from Lyon in the summer of 2017 on a five-year contract worth a club record 46.5 million pounds (58.1 million dollars).

In 206 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions, he scored 71 goals. He had 11 senior caps for France at the time of his move to London, and he has since added five more.

In 36 appearances for Arsenal in the 2021/2022 season, Lacazette scored six goals and added eight assists.

They came in fifth place in the Premier League, just missing out on a place in the UEFA Champions League.
