LASUTH is a public hospital that is located in the heart of Ikeja, Lagos State. The hospital was formerly a small cottage hospital built to cater to the health of residents in Ikeja on June 29, 1955, and served as a secondary-level healthcare facility. However, this cottage hospital was transformed from being Ikeja General Hospital to LASUTH after there was a need for a healthcare facility for the training of Doctors and other health professionals to improve the standard of healthcare in Lagos State. This led to the massive upgrade in the then Ikeja General Hospital in all departments. It was fully equipped with modern equipment to provide top-notch service to its patients after it fully began operation as LASUTH in July 2001.
