Did Tinubu graduate from Chicago State University?

The President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been in the news for weeks now following the alleged identity theft and fake Chicago State University (CSU) certificate.

Tinubu claimed to have graduated from CSU in 1979 and has a certificate which he tendered to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before the 2023 general elections.

However, the opposition parties People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party have been on a hunt to unravel the mystery behind Tinubu's university history with the belief that he never went to CSU.

Meanwhile, last week, the registrar of CSU, Mr Caleb Westberg said the certificate tendered by Tinubu during the presidential polls isn't authentic as it is totally different from the one issued by the school management.

APC spokesperson Felix Morka also told the newsmen that Tinubu's certificate may be different from the one the school issued because he tendered the photocopy instead of the original document. He claimed the photocopier may have left out some details.

Another source also said the certificate presented by Tinubu is that of a woman known as Bola Tinubu who bears the same name as the Nigerian president. If all of this information is really true and can be proven valid, president Tinubu will be automatically disqualified and charged for identity theft, forgery and perjury.

The burning question on the minds of Nigerians is, who is the real owner of the CSU certificate? President Tinubu or Bola Tinubu?
