Alphonso Davies framed the shirt that he received from Lionel Messi, after their meeting for their respective clubs in the UEFA Champions League.

Davies was in action for Bayern Munich in their Round of 16 encounter against Paris Saint Germain played on February 14, 2023, and March 8, 2023.

Following the first leg of the game played at the Parc Des Princes which ended 1-0 in favor of the Bavarians, Alphonso Davies was seen swapping jerseys with Messi.

Davies had in the past tried to swap shirts with Lionel Messi in 2020, but he couldn't after he was told that the Argentine great was “too upset” after Bayern Munich had humbled Barcelona 8-2 in the UEFA Champions League.

However, the Canadian footballer recently shared a photo on his Instagram story displaying Messi's Paris Saint Germain shirt that he has framed and kept in his house in Canada.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich also defeated Paris Saint Germain 2-0 in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League meeting last campaign, which resulted in the Parisians crashing out of the competition.

Subsequently, Lionel Messi exited the club to join MLS club Inter Miami on July 15, 2023, on a free transfer.

Messi made 75 appearances for Paris Saint Germain, scoring 32 goals and providing 35 assists in all competitions.

Lionel Messi's jersey is one of the hottest properties that players look to own, and they are often delighted when their wishes are granted.

Recently, the 36-year-old's shirt at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar was auctioned for a huge amount of about €7 million.

This is particularly due to the Argentine's greatness and the respect that he has earned globally due to his brilliance.

Messi has a seismic fanbase, who loudly show their support for him and have backed him over time in his career.

Lionel Messi is currently at the twilight of his stellar career, and many are still in awe of his magical abilities.

Meanwhile, Alphonso Davies is one of the best full-backs in Europe, having joined Bayern Munich from Vancouver Whitecaps on January 1, 2019, for a fee of €14 million.

He has made 176 appearances for the Munich-based club, scoring 8 goals and providing 28 assists in all competitions.

Davies has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent months, with his contract set to expire in 2025.

The Canadian international is reluctant to sign a new deal at the German capital unless his wage is improved significantly.

Alphonso Davies is expected to be in action when Bayern Munich takes on Hoffenheim on January 12, 2024.

Before the game against Hoffenheim, the Bavarians have a friendly scheduled against Swiss heavyweights FC Basel on Saturday, January 6, 2024.

Bayern Munich are aiming to win the UEFA Champions League this campaign, alongside continuing their chokehold on the German Bundesliga.
