Anambra Police arrest woman who allegedly beat her elderly mother
Officers of the Police command in Anambra state have arrested a woman who allegedly beat her elderly mother recently
This woman has been identified as Ukamaka Udugbo and she is from Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area in Anambra.
She allegedly beat up her elderly mother who is under her care. Her mother is 75 years old.
It was SP Ifeanyi Umeh who is the Divisional Police Officer of Abagana Police Station, who confirmed this incident and the arrest of the suspect.
He said that they got to know that thiisHe also shared that once investigation and documentation has been done, they will transfer the case to the police command in Awka.
It had been an NGO, 50-50 Action Group of the WomenAid Collective (WACOL) who revaled it to him as well. The leader of this NGO who is Mrs Ify Unachukwu also appreciated the police for their work and supoort
She revealed that they took action immediately they also heard and were shocked because this woman is one of the women leaders in the village and the church.
They said hey would strip her of her position after this. The victim in this incident had been living with this woman who is her daughter and is in her 50s.
Mr Emeka Nwaokaka who is also the son of the victim was surprised at what his sister had done to their mother
