Andre Onana did not have the best start to life at Manchester United. The stats were worrying both in the Premier League and Champions League. Onana was the first Manchester United goalkeeper to concede 3+ goals in three successive games for Manchester United.

His Champions League form was worse as he saw Manchester United become the first English club to concede a record 15 goals in the group stage of the competition.

While he frequently came under heavy backlash from United fans and pundits, Onana kept his head high, drawing a parallel with his experience at Inter where he previously struggled at the start but helped the team to the Champions League final.

Onana is still off the mark but his stats has improved. This season, the Cameroonian shot-stopper is the only Premier League goalkeeper who has not conceded a goal against Liverpool.

Liverpool have been on a hopping race to clinch the Premier League title and have scored goals for fun against opponents.

Against Manchester United at Anfield, it was a deadlock. Onana kept his 6th straight clean sheet in the game, producing a sterling performance that secured a point for the Red Devils.

A free-scoring attackers this season have left Premier League goalkeepers in ruins. With the likes of Darwin Nunez, Erling Haaland, Ramsus Hojlund, Mohamed Salah, Cole Palmer, and others on red-hot goalscoing form, a lot of goals have been scored this season.

However, some goalkeepers have maintained standout performances worthy of recognition.

Andre Onana is second to Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya with the most clean sheets this season. Raya has 9 clean sheets while Onana has 8 clean sheets.

Onana's brilliant goalkeeping run comes amid United's less-than-stellar campaign this season.

The 25-year-old will hope to continue with his top-level performance for the club as United push for a top-four finish.
