After a prolific start to the campaign, Tottenham saw their Premier League fortunes took a wild tumble after a 4-1 defeat to London neighbours Chelsea.

The Lilywhites have been winless since Chelsea defeat and were the first Premier League team to lose their last three games after a 10-match unbeaten start to the campaign.

Manchester City equally struggled with a recent subpar performance on domestic front despite a brilliant European campaign.

City drew Chelsea and Liverpool and needed to return to winning ways to stay put on the Premier League title race.

Arsenal saw off Wolves in the early kickoff while Liverpool left it late to defeat Fulham hence City were under pressure to compound Tottenham woes and join Arsenal and Liverpool in the race for the title.

Tottenham, on the other hand, needed to reverse the crisis-ridden campaign.

The game took on a frantic pace as the two sides proceeded with their usual attacking flair.

Manchester City dominated proceedings going forward but also battled to clear the lines against Tottenham's offensives.

Six minutes into the game, Tottenham captain Son Heung-Min found the back for the away side after they broke upfield with a counter from City corner.

Kulusevski's sent a nice throughball to Son, who beat Doku and broke into the box before firing through Ederson.

City fought back immediately to even the score. Erling Haaland flicked Julian Alvarez's freekick and it bounced off Son's thigh into the net.

A minute after the half hour, City took the lead. After a perfect build-up play, the Premier League champions found Foden, who finished it brilliantly pass Vicario to make it 2-1.

City went into the break with a 2-1 lead before Tottenham's fought back to level the scores in the 69th minute. The match was poised to end in a draw before City took the lead again in the 80th minute with Jack Grealish's goal.

The Manchester club were close on a win but Kulusevski netted a stoppage-time equaliser to share spoils with the home side in a six-goal thriller.

It was a disappointing result for Manchester City but a fair one for Tottenham. City are now third on the Premier League table with 31 points, two points away from Liverpool in second place and three points off Arsenal at the top.
