Coming from a 2-5 home defeat to relegation-threatened side, West Bromwich Albion, The two players had a spat out in training today.
According to The Telegraph, the two had a burst out following a late tackle by Rudiger on his Spanish teammate, which Kepa reacted immediately to. The pair had to be separated by a teammate, with the coach, Thomas Tuchel sending Rudiger into the dressing room.
It was reported that Rudiger later apologized to Kepa Arizzabalaga.
There was also a report of an argument between the team captain, Ceasar Azpilicueta, and teammate, Reece James, after the shocking 2-5 loss to West Brom. The two are also said to have settled their differences.
Chelsea head into Wednesday night Champions League quarter-finals match against Portuguese side, FC Porto, after a shocking defeat on Saturday that ended their fourteen matches unbeaten run.
Chelsea will be seeking to bounce back with a win, knowing Porto dumped out Cristiano Ronaldo's side in the knockout stage.
Thomas Tuchel, who saw his side's unbeaten run come to an end said, “We cannot lose our heads now and take away the trust we have in these players,
“It was the moment after the game, to be honest, be calm, and to tell everybody to breathe.
“This will be a hard evening for everybody.
“We had completely different plans on how to start this match day so we have to accept it now, it’s our first loss together.
“It’s important to find a way to deal with it together.”
Chelsea takes on FC Porto on Wednesday night in Seville, as both legs will be played in pain, due to COVID-19 protocol.
