Aradel Holdings & NLNG Seal New Gas Supply Deal to Power Nigeria’s Energy Future ⚡

Aradel Gas Limited, a subsidiary of Aradel Holdings Plc, has officially signed a Gas Supply Agreement (GSA) to deliver additional gas to Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG). The agreement will be executed through the Shell Nigeria Gas (SNG) – NNPC Gas Marketing Limited (NGML) partnership, creating a stronger pipeline of energy supply for Nigeria.

Why This Matters

Industry stakeholders have hailed the deal as a major boost for Nigeria’s energy transition agenda. It aligns with the Federal Government’s gas reforms, which are designed to strengthen energy security, reduce reliance on oil, and drive industrial growth through cleaner energy solutions.

What Aradel’s CEO Said

Adegbite Falade, MD/CEO of Aradel Holdings Plc, expressed excitement about the milestone:

“We are happy to sign an agreement that guarantees the supply of additional gas volumes to NLNG through the SNG-NGML Partnership. As the energy landscape continues to evolve, natural gas remains central to our growth strategy and the broader transition to cleaner energy.”

He further emphasized that Aradel’s expansion plans are closely aligned with government initiatives on domestic gas supply, energy transition, and industrial growth.

Aradel’s Track Record
• Infrastructure Investment: Since 2012, Aradel has operated a 100 mmscf/d gas processing plant, which harnesses and commercializes its gas resources for domestic supply.
• No Gas Flaring: Aradel eliminated routine gas flaring at its Ogbele facility in 2012, showcasing its commitment to environmental sustainability.
• Industry Firsts: The company was the first non-Joint Venture (JV) gas supplier to NLNG, setting a strong precedent in Nigeria’s energy space.

Key Takeaway

This deal is more than just a supply contract—it’s a strategic push for cleaner, reliable, and sustainable energy in Nigeria. With Aradel’s proven track record and commitment to infrastructure development, this partnership strengthens Nigeria’s energy backbone while accelerating the transition to a greener economy.
