According the Sun, heavily armed burglars invaded Kurt Zouma's home while he was with his family in the £3m detached property.

West Ham confirmed the incident in a club statement which revealed Kurt Zouma and his young family where unhurt from the raid but have been traumatized by the horrific incident.

The attack took place before West Ham's weekend Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

West Ham had previously disclosed that Kurt Zouma will miss the game against Crystal Palace for "personal reasons."

While deliberately keeping the incident off the glares of the media previously, the club later came out to detail what actually happened before Zouma missed the match.

In the report, the Hammers disclosed the break-in occured on Saturday on the eve of the Crystal Palace game. Zouma, who is married to his childhood sweetheart Sandra Zouma, was in the house with Sandra and their four children when the incident took place.

The Police is said to have been alerted of the raid but could not apprehend the hoodlums as they escaped before they arrived.

According to reports, the buglars were heavily armed and well-organized, and were able to make away with £100k worth of cash and Jewelries.

West Ham United have pledged a reward of £25,000 for whistleblowers who could help on information that will lead to the arrest and prosecution of the culprits.

The Police have also started investigations into the incident with Kurt Zouma allowed a reprieve by West Ham to recover from the trauma before return to the team.

Zouma is not the only player that has been targeted by burglars in England. Former Liverpool star Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jesse Lingard, Raheem Sterling, Paul Pogba, Victor Lindelof, and Joao Cancelo have suffered burglary attacks while plying their trade in England.
