Nuno Tavares will reportedly leave Arsenal to join Italian side SS Lazio on an initial season-long loan deal.

Due to a buy clause that will be inserted in the deal, Tavares' move to the Stadio Olimpico will subsequently be made permanent in the summer of 2025 for a fee of €9 million.

Arsenal will understandably also include a sell-on clause in the deal, with the defender expected to travel to Italy this weekend for medical if a formal agreement is reached between the two clubs involved.

Nuno Tavares has agreed a 5-year deal with Lazio, which will see him remain at the club until June 2029.

The left-back is out of favor at Arsenal and has spent the last two seasons on loan away from the North London side.

Tavares had previously stated earlier in July 2024 that he was keen on fighting for his place at Mikel Arteta's side, however, he looks set for a move to the Rome-based club.

Nuno Tavares, 24, joined Arsenal from Benfica for a fee of €8 million on July 10, 2021, and has had loan spells at Olympique Marseille and Nottingham Forest.

Tavares plays primarily as a left-back but he can also function as a right-back and left midfielder.

He made 28 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 1 goal and providing 2 assists in all competitions.

Cumulatively, the Portuguese has made 122 club appearances thus far in his career, scoring 8 goals and providing 9
assists in all competitions.

His market value is €15 million and he has won just one trophy in his career - the Portuguese Super Cup.

Wolves Reject Offer From Olympique Marseille For Attacker Hwang Hee-chan

Wolverhampton Wanderers have rejected an offer from French giants Olympique Marseille for forward Hwang Hee-chan.

Reports indicate that Wolves consider the South Korean “not for sale” in the 2024 summer transfer window.

Marseille are having a busy summer, as they are looking to beef up their squad ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The French side are also closing in on signing Mason Greenwood from Manchester United with the deal nearly completed.

Olympique Marseille coincidentally are managed by Roberto De Zerbi and they are looking at poaching players from Premier League clubs.
