After this season, football fans will miss Match of the Day host Ian Wright. The Arsenal legend has revealed on his social media handle he will quit the popular football broadcast at the end of the season.
Wright has been a regular on the premium football punditry show. Apart from his mastery of the arts of punditry, Wright brought his wealth of experience as a former footballer to bear on the program.

"After my debut show whilst still a player in 1997 and many more memorable years, I’ll be stepping back from BBC MOTD at the end of this season.
“I feel very privileged to have had such an incredible run on the most iconic football show in the world.”
Wright has been a regular voice on Match of the Day football show. He has had two spells with the premium football show which features top pundits in English football in 2008 and 2015. He first joined the platform in 1997.
Before he ventured into football punditry, Ian Wright was a legendary footballer. He rose to the summit of his career while playing for Crystal Palace. He started his football career with non-league side Greenwich Borough in 1985 before joining Crystal Palace the same year.
At Selhurst Park, Wright spend six years with the club, scoring 90 goals in 228 appearance. In 1991, he joined Arsenal, where he reached another career milestone, recording 128 goals in 228 appearances for the club.
Wright's career fortunes took a downward spiral after he left Arsena in 1998 for another London side West Ham.
At West Ham, he managed 9 goals in 22 appearances and was loaned to Nottingham Forest in 1999. After his loan spell with the Tricky Trees, Wright joined Scottish side Celtic the same year before moving returning to England with Burnley in 2000, where he subsequently called time on his career.
He made 33 appearances for England national team, scoring 9 goals. Wright won all his major club trophies at Arsenal. He won the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, and European Cup Winners' Cup with the Gunners.
