Arsenal welcome Brentford to North London, hoping to crush the Bees under the floodlights at the Emirates.

The Gunners are in a rich vein of form, smashing teams with reckless abandon, exuding class, guts, and desire to win the English Premier League title.

Mikel Arteta's side have netted a staggering 31 goals in their last 7 matches, as they tear teams apart every matchday, in sublime fashion.

The Bees will obviously be looking to sting Arsenal, ably led by manager Thomas Frank - who has been rumored to have caught the eye of Manchester United and Liverpool.

Brentford are in a horrendous run of form, losing 13 of their last 18 matches. They are currently immersed in a four-game winless run, losing 3 matches and drawing 1 at home to Chelsea on March 2, 2024.

Thomas Frank's side haven't blossomed as they did last term, and they are just 6 points clear of the drop zone.

Brentford will need to be on their toes against the Gunners, who have been vociferous and outstanding in recent months.

Arsenal have been free-scoring in recent weeks, displaying unreal potency in front of goal and unbelievable brilliance in recent matches.

Anyway, Brentford have always battled hard anytime they have met the Gunners in their previous three matches - drawing 1-1 in the second leg of the league fixture last term.

In the EFL Cup, they fell to a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal, before losing in the first league meeting this term by 1-0.

It will be intriguing to see the nature of the test that the Bees will pose against the Gunners, who have their eyes fixated on the league crown.

Meanwhile, in the last 7 meetings between the two clubs, Arsenal won 5, drawing 1 game and losing 1 - that indeed signifies that they are favorites for the clash on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

A victory for Arsenal over Brentford will see them temporarily rise to the top of the Premier League table, pending the outcome of the intense clash involving Liverpool and Manchester City on Sunday, March 10, 2024.

Team News For Arsenal

David Raya will not feature for the Gunners against his parent club, Brentford due to the agreement between the two parties.

Takehiro Tomiyasu and Oleksandr Zinchenko are closing in on a return to action, following weeks of absence due to injury.

Jurrien Timber looks to be the sure absentee, as the Dutchman is still nursing a long-term injury.

Thomas Partey made his first appearance in the game against Sheffield United, having spent about 5 months nursing a thigh injury.

Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka's fitness levels are unknown, with the pair not completing 90 minutes in the game against the Blades due to cuts to the foot and sickness respectively.

Team News For Brentford

Bryan Mbeumo, Kevin Schade, Aaron Hickey, Ethan Pinnock, Rico Henry, and Josh Dasilva are all still recovering from injuries and as such, they won't feature against the Gunners.

Ben Mee would also miss the remainder of matches this campaign after it was confirmed by Thomas Frank that the Englishman had sustained an ankle injury in the game against West Ham United.

Arsenal's probable starting lineup:
