Supporters of Peter Obi called the Obidients waged war against an asthmatic APC supporter who lamented about the price of inhaler six months into the Tinubu administration.
Six months after the 2023 general elections, reality is starting to dawn on Nigerians as the prices of goods and services keep increasing. Nigerians have lamented about how difficult it is to feed or provide basic needs for their family due to the high cost of living. Irrespective of party affiliation, the situation is affecting all and sundry.
Yesterday, a man known as Sulaimon Olamide took to social media to lament about how he can no longer afford an inhaler for himself due to the increase in price. In the video, Sulaimon urged the government to find a means to bring the company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) back to the country.
He explained that a medication Seretide was sold for N8,000 before the company vacated the country. Ever since, it has been selling for a huge sum of N52,500. He said the inhaler that was sold for just N1,500 is now sold for N8,500.
Sulaimon said his salary is just N45,000 and he must take his medications. He urged the Federal government to come to his rescue and take necessary measures to ensure it is sold at a subsidized rate.
On seeing the video, netizens dug out an old video of Sulaimon prior to the election, boasting that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is his president elect. This further infuriated netizens as they trooped into the comments section to give him a piece of their mind.
