Attack in Zamfara state leads to death of 4 Policemen
An attack which was launched by some bandits in Zamfara ttae has led to the death of 4 policemen.
Some armed bandits attacked in Zamfara and killed 4 policemen who served under the Bungudu Local Government Area.
This incident happened last night, Monday July 10 2023. The victims, who are the policemen who were killed, were at a checkpoint along Bungudu-Gusau Road when this incident occurred. These bandits had begun to shoot at them while at the checkpoint.
ASP Yazid Abubakar, who is the spokesperson for the Zamfara State Police Command, has confirmed this incident. He confirmed it this morning via a phone call to Channels Television.
He revealed that he couldn't confirm the deaths of the police but he confirmed the attack. He will share more information later on.
It was a resident of this town who revealed that 4 policemen were killed in the attack.
This witness also revealed that the bandit had also shot another person in another village known as Tagero. He also emoticon how these bandits had also stolen some cattle.
Another resident of this village who also confirmed this said it happened around midnight, 12am and these bandits had suddenly launched an attack against these policemen and killed them. He said it was an ambush, it wasn't expected.
