Auto crash in Lagos nearly claims 7 lives.
An auto crash which occurred yesterday, Wednesday in Lagos State nearly claimed 7 lives.
The accident had occured when a Lexus vehicle ran into a truck on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The truck was stationed there and wasn't moving when the car crashed into it.
The accident happened around 1pm in the afternoon on Wednesday.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and rescued the people In the vehicle.
The impact of the crash was more on the drivers side as shown in the photo above. The emergency responders quickly rushed the driver to the hospital for medical treatment. The driver is yet to be identified.
Babatunde Farinloye who is the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Lagos State confirmed the crash.
He revealed that it was overspeeding that caused this accident. He mentioned that 7 people were involved in the accident.
He mentioned that the truck had a fault that's why it was stationed there. The lexus car which was overspeeding had then crashed into it.
He mentioned that the 7 people involved include 5 adults and 3 children. He revealed that no one died and it was only the driver who was hurt.
Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and some officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority are working together to remove the two vehicles from the road.
